Visiones Globales sobre Biodiversidad
El sábado 15 de septiembre de 2012, miles de personas en todo el mundotomarán parte en un evento mundial: “Visiones Globales sobre Biodiversidad”. El proyecto involucrará a ciudadanos de a pie en el mayor número posible de países en el proceso de formulación de políticas ytoma de conciencia para mantener un planeta vivo y saludable. Al menos un centenar de ciudadanos en cada país participante asistirá a las reuniones deun día de duración para aprender acerca de los temas de biodiversidad, hacer una opinión sobre ellos, y expresar sus puntos de vista. Las reunionescomenzarán en la madrugada en el Pacífico y continuará hasta el anocheceren las Américas. Todas las reuniones tendrán el mismo orden del día y utilizar el mismo enfoque con el fin de que los resultados sean comparables y útiles para los responsables políticos recolección del mes siguiente en la India para discutir las futuras medidas de política para la conservación de la diversidad biológica.
Visiones Globales sobre Biodiversidad en Costa Rica
La Secretaría General de la Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales (FLACSO) es el organizador nacional de las VGB en Costa Rica.
La FLACSO es un organismo internacional de carácter autónomo y regional, creado en 1957, por iniciativa de la UNESCO y algunos gobiernos de la región. Su principal objetivo es promover las ciencias sociales en América Latina y el Caribe.
Hoy, el Acuerdo General de la FLACSO cuenta con diecisiete Países Miembros, todos ellos de América Latina y el Caribe. El funcionamiento de la FLACSO está regido tanto por su Legislación Interna, cuanto por las directrices que emiten los Órganos de Gobierno. La coordinación del funcionamiento de la Facultad, así como su representación legal, está bajo la responsabilidad de la Secretaría General, la cual tiene Sede en Costa Rica desde 1979.
La FLACSO realiza diversas Actividades Académicas: Docencia, Investigación, Difusión, Extensión Académica y Cooperación Técnica. Estas actividades son desarrolladas en trece Unidades Académicas, siete de ellas Sedes, cinco Programas y un Proyecto.
Los países miembros del Acuerdo General de la FLACSO son:
Argentina, Bolivia, Brasil, Costa Rica, Cuba, Chile, Ecuador, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, México, Nicaragua, Panamá, Paraguay, Uruguay, Perú, República Dominicana y Surinam.
WWViews on Biodiversity
On Saturday September 15th 2012, thousands of people around the world will take part in a global event: “World Wide Views on Biodiversity”. The project will engage ordinary citizens in as many countries as possible in the process of policymaking and awareness raising to sustain a living and healthy planet. At least a hundred citizens in each participating country will attend day-long meetings to learn about biodiversity issues, make up their minds about them, and express their views. The meetings will start at dawn in the Pacific and continue until dusk in the Americas. All meetings will have the same agenda and use the same approach in order to make results comparable and useful for policymakers gathering the following month in India to discuss future policy measures for preserving biological diversity.
WWViews on Biodiversity in Costa Rica
The General Secretariat of the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO) is the national organiser of the WWViews day in Costa Rica.
FLACSO is an international and regional autonomous, created in 1957 byinitiative of UNESCO and some governments in the region. Its main objectiveis to promote the social sciences in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Today, the General Agreement of FLACSO has seventeen member countries, all of Latin America and the Caribbean. The operation of FLACSO is governed both by its domestic law, the guidelines issued by the governing bodies. The coordination of the operation of the Department and its legal representation, is the responsibility of the General Secretariat, which hasheadquarters in Costa Rica since 1979.
The FLACSO performs various academic activities: Teaching, Research,Dissemination, Outreach Academic and Technical Cooperation. These activities are developed in thirteen academic units, including seven venues, five programs and a Project.
The members of the General Agreement of FLACSO are:
